Dear Parents/Guardians,
My name is Kelly Phillips and I will be your child’s teacher for the 2016-2017 school year. I am originally from Gastonia, North Carolina, but have lived in the Atlanta area for 28 years. I have two beautiful children. Trace is starting his first year of college at Kennesaw State University and Claire is a tenth grader at North Cobb High School. We also have a precious dog named Zoey!
I have twenty-seven years of teaching experience and this will make my fifteenth year at Acworth. I have a Bachelor of Science in Education from Appalachian State University. I also have a Master’s degree and a Leadership-Administrative degree from Kennesaw State University.
I am truly excited about the school year and think that our fifth grade team has planned a fun and educational year for our students. We will have the 4-H Club come in and do mini lessons, Educational field trips, and much more through out the year.
Please know that I am open to your questions and concerns. I truly believe that it will take all of us working together to provide the best education for your student. Thank you in advance for allowing me to be a part of your child’s life for their last elementary grade experience.
Yours truly,
Ms. Kelly Phillips
Fifth Grade Teacher
